My dad collected military accessories like patches, badges, medals, and uniform ribbons. I have a big box full of these items that I’d like to either sell to a collector/seller or perhaps donate to a museum or senior center or something. The patches seem to be mostly from Navy ships and air stations and I think the medals are from a variety of the armed forces. I just don’t know what these might be worth – there’s a chance there might be some rare or of-value items in there – and wondering if anyone has any ideas on where I might start? I did an internet search but mostly got links to websites of collectors out of our area (California, east coast etc.) and I’d prefer to go local if possible.

Thanks in advance for any advice or ideas!

add, you may want to start with the Puget Sound Naval Museum in Bremerton.

Here’s a link to their Donations Page:
