It seems pretty quiet regarding this topic, i.e., only a handful at HALA/MHA meetings and not a lot of talk about it. I know from some sources that the appeal most likely won’t go through due to lack of funds, among other things. Is it just a given now that some SF homes around West Seattle’s urban villages will be rezoned in early fall? Just looking for some information if anyone has anything.

The next scheduled event is the public hearing with the council June 5th at Chief Sealth IHS, 6 pm. That will follow the council, meeting as the Select Committee on HALA MHA, reviewing the District 1 proposal on June 4th, 10:30 am. See the calendar for both:

Regarding the appeal “not going through,” it appears to be quite alive, with an online file of documents growing almost daily – all sorts of motions, countermotions, etc. The hearings are still set for June and July, unless, for example, there is a settlement.

We are definitely overdue for writing a “where things stand,” though.
