I’ve searched through the recommendations on the blog, but haven’t been able to come up with one for an MD who has a naturopathic/holistic health background. Is there such a doctor in WS? Inquiring minds want to know.

So odd you should ask this. Someone just came in and gave me a business card for Seattle Wellness Programs – 5617 California Ave SW -206-388-2929. They are naturopathic drs.

Dr. Ralph Golan is not in West Seattle, but a great holistic MD. He’s in the Ravenna area. You can google him. He’s got a website. Great doctor. We love him.

The is a husband and wife group that used to be up on California near Lladro. I think they are in the same building as Highline Medical next to Jeff Sqaure. He is an MD, and she is the ND and I think they collaborate. Sorry I cant remember their names.

Dr. Chris Adams, MD, at One Sky Medicine (also in the Ravenna area, I believe – http://www.oneskywellness.com/practitioners.html ) is a wonderful woman. She has done the entire thing to become a naturopath at Bastyr, but never took the test, instead incorporating it into her medical practice. I met her on a cancer retreat a couple of years ago on the Kitsap Peninsula. She’s kind, caring, and while I’ve never been a patient, as she does not take my insurance, I would highly recommend her.

If she is not available, she has surrounded herself with quality people…definitely a place to consider.

The Healing Arts Partnership on 41st SW (206) 932-0880. Dr. Marty Ross is an MD and I believe is the founder of the partnership (his practice is the one that used to be up near Cafe Ladro on California). He is very much inclined toward a holistic practice–I believe the partnership includes two MDs, several naturopaths, a massage therapist, nutritionist, and several acupuncturists. When I go in with an injury or other complaint, I always have a whole suite of treatment options to choose from, from alternative to western.

Peaches, thanks for that. I was trying to remember his name. His wife is a naturopath and works with him. The best of both worlds, and it’s local. Good suggestion..

I second the recommendation for Chris Adams, she has been my doc for over a decade now and I even pay extra for an HMO Options plan to keep seeing her. She is versed in naturopathy, Chinese Medicine and very warm and intuitive.

Unfortunately Dr. Adams’ website says she’s not taking new patients. You could always call and double-check, but thought I’d mention that.

Just a clarification.. Dr. Ross’s life/practice partner when located on California near Cafe Lladro was a different ND. I saw Dr. Hollie Levine ND when they were at that location – she was a wonderful doctor – I thought maybe she was back practicing in WS again. I googled her and it looks like she is practicing in Bellingham now.
