I love eggs, and I have a picky toddler who needs protein and likes eggs too. I’m disturbed by the egg industry (destroy male chicks at sexing, the truth of “free-range” etc). Ignorance WAS bliss.

So, I’d like to support local “cruelty-free” egg farmers – if that even exists. Is there a Farmers Market egg seller – or another source – maybe Tony’s?

    Thank you.

Husky used to sell eggs from Vashon Island–might check with them.

West Seattle Produce carries fresh local farm eggs. Inside the shelter on the right hand side there’s a cooler with milk, eggs, cheeses, etc.

There are several vendors at the WS Farmers Market who sell eggs, but they often sell out early in the market. When I need eggs, I try to be there by 10am.

If the market is not convenient for you, the Swinery also carries local organic eggs from Stokesberry Sustainable Farms. It’s a great farm I’ve been to many times and I recommend all their products.

I second Stokesberry. Their eggs (and chickens) are delicious. They have a booth at the WS Farmers Market & the Ballard Farmers Market if the Swinery is out.
