Gotta feel sorry for them. For all the money they spend on their cars, you’d think that they would come equipped with turn signals.

YES! I’ve noticed that BMW, Mercedes and Audi vehicles are also frequently just as poorly equipped. Volvos, though, seem to have a higher-than-average frequency for having a single headlight out.

Volvos also seem to have faulty gas pedals, especially when driven by soccer moms with a back seat full of kids.

That’s funny; I have always noticed that Toyota Camrys and Honda Accords seemed to lack turn signals.

I lost count how many times the blinker get turned on at the last second -as if the signal somehow helps the car turn.

The signal is a courtesy, folks. Nothing worse than getting stuck behind some inconsiderate driver in the left lane heading north on Cali @ Oregon.

Yes, indeed Smitty. Happens alot, there and elsewhere. On Morgan @ I35, for example. When the light turns green, they decide to turn the left blinker on. Just another of many irritants in modern life!

    twobottles…

not only that.. they seem all have some affliction that prevents them from shoving an arm out the window to signal.

do you think the car does that to them?

It’s funny how different states and cities boast their own unique driving quirks. In Washington, the turn signal thing is in line with the way that the DOT posts signs…which is AFTER the turnoff, not before.

what brands seem to have faulty brakes which then leads to rolling right hand turns at stop signs?

Todd, It would be much quicker to list those cars without that issue.

After many years of personal observation, my list is as follows:

smitty: the signal isn’t just a courtesy.

    it’s the law.

and for good reason. not using your signal tells other drivers you intend to go straight forward, which can cause accidents due to unexpected stops, turns, or lane changes.

turn signals also appear to be optional equipment on subarus, and their owners seem to waive the option more than most other models. ymmv.
