celeste17ParticipantNow that the laundromat on 35th has closed where are there laundromats with parking? I know there is one in the admiral district but parking is horrible there and same with the one in the junction. Is there one at Westwood or white center or burien?

miwsParticipantHi, Celeste, there are several in White Center (no longer one in Westwood).
When I was at NV I used the one at 9823 15th Ave SW. It was okay, seemed to be rather typical in that there’d be a couple out of order machines. Overall I was satisfied with it.
While I was going there, they seemed to be slowly upgrading to new machines, so perhaps that has happened by now.
It’s in a little strip mall, so they have some parking.
There’s also another one a block north on 15th, across from Bartell/DSHS, and I think there’s still one over on 14th, near Zippy’s I believe.

jissyParticipantceleste: Next closest one (I think) is in White Center on 16th at the intersection where the Dairy Queen is and it does have parking — it is VERY clean and nice (I did a bunch of bedding and rugs there about 6 weeks ago). There is also one in the little business building that has Berry’s BBQ & Geno’s bakery at Ambaum and 116th, there is usually parking out front but I think there is also a few places in the back of the building. Next I believe is the laundromat at the Fred Meyer, parking, yes but usually VERY busy, too in my experience.

TanDLParticipantWow… the Laundromat on 35th closed? I was just there last week. Are you referring to the one next to the cool little coffee shop – across from the short stop store with the Cow on it? Granted that one doesn’t have a parking lot, but I hope it hasn’t closed.

celeste17ParticipantNo, I was thinking of the one near Walgreens and near the car wash. Thanks for the tips as I need to do for comforters soon and need heavy washing machines to do them and I didn’t want to hunt for parking. So I giess on Monday or Tuesday I will take a drive to white center and maybe I will go to zippys while I am waiting for the comforters to wash. :)

WSBKeymasterCeleste – so you mean the one that was where Fast Signs is now? That’s been gone 2+ years. I also thought you meant Olympic Heights – so after seeing this, I drove over there last night to look and while it was closed at 9:50 despite posted hours to 10, its lights were on and there were no signs. Glad to see that’s not the one you meant, as Olympic Heights is our default backup for what doesn’t fit in the home washer. – TR
