NitroParticipantAny recommendations of a place to get my kitchen knives sharpened? I would prefer somewhere in West Seattle, I think. But if there is nothing in WS, then I am open to other options, I guess.

KevinParticipantQFC used to have signs saying they would sharpen knives. Whether they still offer this service – I do not know.

I did find a reasonably priced mobile knife sharpening service to will come to you your home. $40 minimum charge. You might want to find several neighbors and then meet at an agreed upon location.

Doing a little more research, there appears to be a guy from Vashon who shows up at the Farmers Market in WS.

WS PersonParticipantNella Knives on 4th in SODO. They are professional sharpeners for the food industry and also sell knives. Quite inexpensive and super high quality sharpening. I would not recommend taking good kitchen knives anywhere else!

LoloParticipantGo to Harbor Freight on Michigan St. Buy their diamond sharpening block, 4 different grits on 4 sides $12. Read a little bit. Sharpen your own knives. Its really easy.

NitroParticipantThis is a follow up to my initial post. Thx to all who posted replies. Wolfe, I went to Nella knives and they did a great job. Dropped it off in the morning and the knives were ready to go by 2:00. $5 per knife, if anyone else is curious.

Lolo- I will also take your suggestion about Harbor Freight at some point and try learn to do it myself, too.

But Nella Knives was an easy, quick solution in the meantime.
