They are there; lurking under sheds, peeking out from woodpiles, maybe high in the rafters of your garage–feral kittens.
If caught early enough, they can be socialized and adopted into loving homes. FAF and FCAT are fortunate to have many foster homes ready and waiting.
Often times people worry that the kittens they are seeing are too young to be caught, and by the time they reach out for help, they kittens are too feral to be socialized. We can use kittens as young as newly born to catch the mom cat too. Then the whole family can be put into foster care.
FAF and FCAT will work to trap adult cats and older kittens in the colony for TNR (trap-neuter-return).
