feefeelarueMemberI know this has nothing to do with WS BUT, please tell me there are other people as horrified by the performance of Kiss – especially Paul Stanley on Idol tonight. Kiss was awesome and Gene Simmons rules and such but holy cat man am I the only one? Thoughts?

addParticipantI agree – they were ridiculous!

HMC RichParticipantI wish I had the opportunity to sing with KISS. It showed how good Adam Lambert’s voice is and that he belongs in rock bands in big arenas. Plus he is about 30 years younger. Paul’s vocals weren’t great but that was OK. It was KISS! I was singing along thinking that the Idol finale was excellent. I liked Adam better but Kris preformed better the night before. That sappy song was more suited for Kris than Adam. My wife had never heard the song Beth before. She loved it.

ZenguyParticipantHow on Earth can you say that Kris performed better? He forgot the words to Kara’s song at the end!
Kris is a good singer, Adam is a great performer and entertainer!
Yes, KISS was rediculious but so was KC several weeks earlier.

lazybeardParticipantI know wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed the American Idol finale last night. Tons of performances! Black Eyed Peas! Kiss! Queen Latifah! Norman Gentle! I had to cover our cat’s eyes and ears when Rod Stewart came onstage…I wish Neil Diamond could of been there instead.

GenHillOneParticipantI’m not an Idol fan, so the only “name” I had heard was going to be on was Carrie Underwood. When I saw the clips this morning, I was “huh???”
If I’d known so many were going to be on, I would have watched!!

addParticipantYeah, what was up with Rod Stewart? That was uncomfortable. I love Queen Latifah (although I didn’t think the duet with Lil Rounds was all that great). I thought Kris & Keith Urban were great and I’m not even a Keith Urban fan. Some of the numbers were over the top and there were about 2 too many ensemble performances, but I have to say they sure got a great list of performers to be on that show!

villagegreenMember“…but I have to say they sure got a great list of performers to be on that show!”
If it was still 1984.
Was anyone else trying not to gag when they were forced to sing that song that Kara DioGuardi supposedly co-wrote?
You can go higher
You can go deeper
There are no boundaries
Above and beneath you
Break every rule coz there’s nothing between you
and your dreams
Every step you climb another mountain
Every breathe its harder to believe
I’m surprised Adam didn’t vomit a little bit in his mouth while having to sing it. Awful.

addParticipantBlack Eyed Peas, Queen Latifah, Jason Mraz, Keith Urban – I don’t think they were around in 1984. I do give you KISS, Cyndi Lauper, Lionel Richie and Rod Stewart however. :)
I agree with you on that corny corny corny song. How embarassing! (Although Adam did say to Kara that he thought it was a “beautiful song” – suck up!) Can’t they EVER get a decent “final” song? Every year they suck and I feel bad for the finalists who have to sing them.
