Hi, I am looking for a housekeeper to come once a month and do a through cleaning. Do you have a recommendation? What is t he going rate? I had someone and loved her but she just didn’t do a good job the last few months and I let her go.

I pay $80 for a one-bedroom apartment and $100 for a two-bedroom. Both of these are twice a month – it may be more for monthly.

I can recommend our housecleaning service, Le Balais, owned by Louise Binion. I’ve used Louise’s services for over 6 years and have been very happy. She has been thorough, reliable, punctual, trustworthy, responsive, and very easy to communicate with. She uses non-toxic supplies whenever possible (she does resort to bleach when needed!). She provides many services in addition to regular home cleaning, including specific cleaning jobs (such as move out cleaning), holiday shopping, senior care services, and special event home services. Though I have only used her home cleaning services.
