hammerheadParticipantMiddle finger up in front of his face, in the North Admiral area.
He was just walking around, I had clients in the area and as we drove by he yelled F**k you. ok then.
Has anyone else seen this guy?

JanSParticipantlolol..well, now, that would be something. Nope, haven’t seen him…but…if someone does, take a picture.
Pamela..did you respond to him? Sounds like he’s having a bad day :-

MBParticipantNot sure if it’s the same guy (oyvey if there are 2 of them), but a few weeks ago I saw a man near Westwood Village doing the same thing. Yelled “eff you!” at me and the 2 year old in my car as we drove by…just standing there with his middle finger up in front of his face. It was bizarre and random and he looked pretty angry. Tall, thin, white, middle aged man. I’m glad I was driving by him rather than walking by him!

MSWSMemberI saw him about an hour ago at California and Admiral crossing against traffic and saluting all. I did hear many f-bombs. He was headed south down California. I’m glad someone else saw him.
Stay far away from him.

WSratsinacageMemberNot surprised.
.
An adult audience is one thing but there are so many kids living in WS that this sort of behaviour is not appropriate.

JanSParticipanttrue, that…

WS PersonParticipantI saw him yesterday in North Admiral. Made me uncomfortable. Creepy.

DuskyvioletParticipantUnfortunately it is really not funny and this sounds a lot like Ryan Cox who has a long and twisted history in West Seattle. I had a very similar run in with him a couple of years ago and it left me shaken for days.

hammerheadParticipantOk well then I won’t poke fun. It sound like he may be mentally ill. I was not afraid, it was just odd.
I hope he has a safe place to go or does anyone know anyone who might know him.
Sadly with are crappy health care system there is no place for him to go unless he does harm to himself or someone else.

GenHillOneParticipantI saw this guy too – one finger salute up over his head as he walked in residential North Admiral. Hard to tell from the WSB Ryan Cox photo I found, but I *think* this guy is older than him (and I don’t remember this guy having Cox’s signature gallon jug in his hand). He does seem like he could be volatile though, and – without inciting paranoia – at least worth being aware.

BearsChickParticipantThis guy walked by my office on Alki this week doing the same thing. Another person was with him. I noticed he moved strangely, almost twitching, as he crossed the street, so I assumed he was special needs or mentally ill. Still, quite shocking to just be flicked off for several seconds just sitting at your desk!

cjboffoliParticipantI’ve encountered a mentally ill man downtown who walks around screaming at passersby. I wonder if he has moved to West Seattle.
And on a similar subject, does anyone know whatever happened to Juan, the guy who stands outside of Pacific Place with the signs and yells his mantra about how the Seattle Police “is commu-naise?” It feels like years since I’ve seen (and heard) that guy.

sboneParticipantI used to see a guy like this around Kent State in the late ’80s. Unfortunately, F@€k You Bob died recently, but he is not forgotten:

WSBKeymasterRyan Cox has been in jail since mid-June. His suspended sentence on a stalking charge from last year was revoked on what looks from court records to be a failure-to-appear situation.

anonymeParticipantLet’s just hope he doesn’t exercise his constitutional right to bear arms (sarcasm).
One morning there was a gentleman on the bus behaving this way. He stared at me, flipped me off, began cursing. Twitchy. A few minutes later he made a quiet apology to surrounding riders, explaining he had Tourette’s. Big difference between Tourette’s and schizophrenia, but most of us aren’t equipped to make instant diagnoses.

drummerboyMemberThis sounds like the same guy I watched walking up Admiral way from the Schmitz Park area toward California while working in my yard. He screamed F*** you whilst flipping the bird at EVERY car that drove by. This proved especially challenging for him when there were many cars driving by in succession. He didn’t acknowledge me or my neighbor. Only the cars. Definitely seemed mentally-ill vs. drugged.

CaitParticipantCJB – I was just thinking about Juan the other day, I have not seen him in years. He’s sort of a Seattle legend, I bet someone knows his whereabouts. My high school Spanish teacher befriended him for a while – evidently a pretty well-educated guy with a real taste for Nordstrom E-Bar coffee! I remember seeing him as a kid and thinking something was “off” and then seeing him a few years ago calmly sipping coffee and smiling at passers by in Nordstrom (still holding his sign and baton) and it was a definite 180 – kind of like seeing your teacher at the supermarket.
