Great BBQ at 9th & Henderson

If you haven’t tried the barbecue at the old gas station/current grocery store at 9th & SW Henderson, make plans to visit soon! I stopped in yesterday and picked up some pulled pork and South Carolina pork sandwiches. They were fantastic: smoky, tender, and delicious. I’m from the south and know a little bit about BBQ–this is stuff is GOOD. Portions are ample–24 bucks to feed three of us. I’ll be headed back this week to try some ribs. The building is nothing to look at it but, after tasting this stuff, you won’t care!

I love that place, and I love living right down the street from it! The sandwiches and ribs are delicious, and my husband (who is not a BBQ fan) likes their cheesesteaks.

I’ve long been on a quest for good BBQ in the area and have always been a bit disappointed (Pecos Pit on 1st has been the one real exception). They know what they’re doing at this place.
