I have a small pile (maybe a wheelbarrow’s worth?) of black locust wood that’s cut to a suitable size for burning. Locust is super for a wood stove—it’s very dense and puts out HIGH heat for a long time with very little ash. Because of the heat, it’s recommended that this wood be mixed with other kinds of wood; it’s really too hot for a fireplace. I can email a photo of the pile of wood. I’m in Highland Park. Free; you load and haul. lafleming@comcast.net
