MBParticipantWe have 2 pitbulls, one brindle male and one tan female at our house on 28th and Myrtle tonight. They are VERY friendly and clearly know commands like “sit” and “lay down.” They are sweet dogs and I hope a caring owner reads this. Please write back with contact info if you are missing these dogs! Be prepared to give details on both dogs.

WSBKeymasterHi – if you haven’t found their owner by morning light, please consider e-mailing us so we can put the info on the Pets page, which is where folks usually look … TR

MBParticipantDogs have been picked up by animal control. Poor things were terrified :( The Animal Control officer was very nice. I hope if their owner is not found that a new home will be. Once it was light out this morning, we could see that the female had VERY goopy eyes and the male had a chain & padlock around his neck, something the officer found a bit “disturbing.” Such sweet dogs, I hope things turn out ok for both of them. Made me sad to watch them drive away in the truck.

furryfacesParticipantMB. Thank you for rescuing these two dogs. Seattle Animal Shelter will take good care of them. They are one of the municipal shelters that DO NOT
kill pit bulls…just because they are pit bulls.

MBParticipant@Furryfaces, it was our pleasure. I have always been a pit lover, but man were these two sweet dogs! I sure hope their story ends well. They deserves a great home. There’s no way we could have gone to bed last night and just left them roaming!!

MBParticipantYay, the owners were putting up signs and some of our awesome neighbors let them know where to find the pups. Hope they are reunited soon!

mehud7ParticipantHopefully the female will get medical attention for her eyes and the male will be freed from his chain and padlock.

MBParticipantNo idea on the padlock, but by the look on the Animal Control officer’s face, I wouldn’t be surprised if they try to get it off. My neighbors did say that the lost dogs signs mentioned that she needed her eye medicine, so that’s good! Plus, the officer said they would get her to a vet as well!
