Our neighbor found a black and white springer spaniel near the Admiral PCC about half an hour ago. She has a brown leather collar on that has a telephone number listed on it. We have called the number but thought we would try this avenue as well. It appears that she has chewed through a rope and is having a fun day in the sun. We can be reached at 206.933.7561.

I am pretty sure this isn’t the Spaniel lost at West Crest.

I will try to send a picture here to the blog shortly if I can get my camera to work.

I guess the collar doesn’t match – but my dog got that far in 12 hours, so anything is possible

    >>English Spring Spaniel (lost inside Westcrest Off-Leash Park about 2:30 pm, cross-streets are 9th Ave SW and SW Cloverdale) Sassy is a 35 lb female Springer Spaniel with black and white marking. She is shy and doesn’t know commands or her name very well yet. This is a rescue dog and she is wearing a pink collar with an i.d. tag that has her name and her foster-mom’s cell phone number. Please call (206) 420-4415 if you see her or are able to catch her. We are worried sick about her.

Tessa’s owner came and got her a little while ago. Happy ending!

Was the puppy found? I was at West Crest yesterday and was heart broken (ok, it is a heart I bought from Radio Shack)

She was spotted south just outside the dog park near 7th SW sometime in the afternoon. That was the only sighting on record. Please keep your eyes out for her. It has been 4 days/nights and we are really sad.

Did someone take her or did she sneak out ?

She got spooked when a dog chased her at the dog park. She fled…FAST. She is a recent rescue dog who doesn’t know the neighborhood and who is not chipped, yet has a tag with my number. The English Springer Rescue organization feels someone has her and either a) is afraid to call Animal Control or b) may decide to keep her. A recent call to a posting on Craigslist for a dog matching her description lead to a conversation with a well-meaning woman who was unaware of the protocol for reporting a found dog with the city. She stated that she “may just keep the it because it gets along so well with my dog.” She was politely informed of the measures to take in reporting a dog- as someone maybe looking for it. So the search continues….
