mpentoParticipantDon’t worry WSB if people still hang in here despite some of the regular posters a little bit of spam won’t kill it. Merry Christmas ya filthy animals :)

WSBKeymasterThanks. I have spent most of the past seven hours hitting delete. And it takes sometimes four or five tries to kill one post … then the next wave starts up again. We are rather stubborn though and will get through it. …

WSBKeymasterUpdate for anyone interested – After we spent most of Saturday deleting a spamalanche (new Sniglet; bonus for anyone who remembers Sniglets), a tech at our server company came up with an ingenious bit of coding late Saturday night that SEEMS TO (knock wood) have held off the junk messages. You might continue to encounter a few minutes of inaccessibility here and there and what’s basically happening (just happened now) is that the Big Bad Spam Wolves are trying to huff and puff and blow their way into the forum, and the coding is fighting back. For the past 36 hours or so, there’s just been a stray post here and there, and that’s far more manageable. – TR

JanSParticipantwsea98116…ok, ok…the word is “smuke”. It originated because both hubby and I were smokers when we first married (he’s an ex now). It means the smokey film you get on the inside of your windshield, but it can also apply to to the windows on your home, to your TeeVee, your bathroom mirror…anything that gets that kinda film on it when they get dirty. The word combo? Smoke and puke – …lol…well, you asked ;-)
