TammiWSMemberHas anyone tried any of the locations below for working out and if so what are your thoughts?
I want something different than the running/walking I do on my own and more than the standard gym….

RobindianneParticipantI did the bootcamp! It rocks. Great leaders change it up so it doesn’t get boring. I got muscles you can feel (can’t really see them yet but then I’m on the weakling side anyway) and I can actually run sprints now! Good group all ability levels. I did 1 month of 5 days/wk and am at the end of a month of 3/week. The 5 was easier due to momentum. Fridays we did running work at the stadium and all other days we were in the park and down by the water with mats, weights, running circuits, etc. Very active and hard but fun at the same time (if you can call exercise fun) lol

CountingCoupMemberI have nothing but good things to say about Bikrams Yoga.
Its “hot” yoga (heated room at approx 105 deg) with 26 Asana’s (poses) for a 90 min workout and probably 1000-1200 calories expended.
It will feel like a type “A” yoga, but after a few weeks you get into the rhythm, I recommend it for a great workout among other healthy aspects.

TammiWSMemberThanks – bootcamp and hot yoga were the two I was leaning towards so may give each a try….

preston325MemberI would definitely check out the Anytime Fitness (as I am the owner, Dave) on California and Charlestown. We keep a very clean club with awesome equipment, 24 hour access & personal attention to our members (free education and orientations always). Check us out.
