For the big boomers in the Lincoln Park/Fauntleroy area, they stopped being cool a long time ago. I ran out of tranquilizers for the dog about a week ago and am quickly running out of patience. Please consider there are others beyond you that are affected by your illegal fireworks and save them for next July 4.

Tjw: it indeed sucked last night, huh?? 2 big booms, the 2nd sounded way closer to me, enough to get me out of bed & close the slider door in my room. Saw 3 older teens running down Beach Dr. in their flip-flops. Swear I’m going to get a bullhorn with a siren on it to start yelling at them!!

I thought I heard something like a show in the vicinity of the stadiums last night. The Mariners were playing but didn’t win. But we’ve also had lots of big booms in High Point lately too. Most have been jolting me out of bed around midnight. It’s been so dry and I’ve seen so many fires on the freeway it really scares me to hear them doing that stuff at night.

The big booms lasted from around 9:45 until the last one I heard at 11:45. They were definitely closer than any of the stadiums and left the dog panting and pacing until about 1 AM. Hopefully we can all sleep tonight whether it’s due to the rain, them running out of M-80’s, or everyone calling a truce for the evening.

M80’s, M100’s, and others like them that just make a loud BOOM are not fireworks…they’re little bombs…so the title of the thread is a misnomer of sorts ;-)
