Hiya parents, I just found out about Bloom Preschool opening up this fall near the Admiral Library. Seems they are still enrolling students, so if you’re looking for a place for your 3- to 4-year-old for the coming year, check them out.

Thanks for the info. I’ve already RSVP’d. I sure they were every day/all day. My son is 3 but I know I want him in a real full day preschool/pre-kindergarten by the time he’s 4.5. I wish Montessori hasn’t moved south.

For full day preschool have you looked into Northwest Montessori. They have a West Seattle location at 7344 35th Ave SW (right by Swedish Automotive). They run a strong Montessori program. Web site is http://www.northwestmontessori.org/.

And no, I don’t work there, just a former parent of a child in the primary program (ages 3-6) and a future parent as well when my little one is big enough.

Hi there, you should check out Southwest Early Learning Preschool (SWEL)beside the Delridge Community Center. Although it is a half day program (from 8:30-12:00), it has a dual language model–Spanish-English and is based on both the Reggio Emilia and play-based approach for early learning. We are currently enrolling 3 and 4 year olds for the fall.

Here’s our website, we will be getting more info up soon! http://www.southwestearlylearning.org

We enrolled in Bloom for the Fall, transitional kindergarten. The teacher has taught kindergarten in the Seattle public school system for 4 yrs, so I think she’ll do a good job in preparing the kids for their real school careers; the preschool teacher has taught in the private school system for the preschool age, of course.

The two teachers (sisters) are friendly, enthusiastic, and use a research-based approach in academics. It’s a new, beautiful environment. I think this will be a fun experience for the kiddos!

Bloom preschool is having a Kid’s Night Out each Friday night this summer from 6:30 to 9:00 for age walkers on up . . . my five-year-old daughter went last Friday night, and had a blast. The preschool is bright and fun and the teachers were both very friendly, energetic, and had genuine interest in making sure the kids had a great time. On the mommy side of it, there are a number of great places to spend a Friday night right around the corner (Admiral), so it is worth $20! I can’t even get a good babysitter for that price, much less two teachers with lots of fun activities at hand!

Here’s the contact info. if you are interested (I think it is walkers on up, for the age breakdown) . . . http://westseattlebloompreschool.com/Home/tabid/114/Default.aspx
