This is a new forum about the pitbull who was found on Fauntleroy darting in and out of traffic. We have found an amazing foster home for her. She is only about 1 year old. She is being spayed today and Lydia will have her on Wednesday. The woman at the shelter said she is extremely sweet and has been trying to sit on her lap. She seems to be craving human attention. Lydia is anxious to get her home and give her some love. We still need a forever home for this sweet girl, so please keep her in mind!

Check with the WA State Patrol…they are doing amazing things with Pitbulls in the field. The main trainer is Trooper Steve Gardner (google him). Perhaps they have some ideas…

I am happy to report the pitbull, now named Dolly is in her foster home and is doing very well. Apparently she is very sweet and loves to sit in people’s laps! We still need a forever home for her so please contact Heather if you know anyone who might be able to adopt her!

Is this the one who was animal-aggressive and needs to be an “only child”? Is that still correct, or has that information changed?

Just want to make sure, as that could eliminate some potential adopters if still true.

She was never animal aggressive. She was just too skiddish from abandonment and being in the shelter. She is in foster care and is doing amazing. She is well behaved and even seems to have had some prior training. Her mother said she is extremely smart and has been having more training and is very cuddly. She loves to sit in her lap. She will be re-evaluated by a trainer in the next couple of weeks to determine the best kind of permanent home for her.

That’s great news! Thanks for clarifying, as the changed information could open up a much larger adoption pool for her. Wish I had the time to devote to a dog.

She is a wonderful dog! Lydia or I would be happy to provide anyone with photographs or updates to help any potential adoptees!

Just an update that I visited Dolly, the pit bull found on Fauntleroy, today. She is such a sweet girl. She knows how to sit and lay down. She is a puppy still, only 1 year old, so very full of energy. We are now in need of a full-time home for Dolly! Please help us spread the word and find this sweet dog a good home!

Anyone who may be interested in Dolly, I have photographs of her from my visit. Also some of you are skeptical about adopting a pit bull, please read this great article.

Just wanted to post a final update about Dolly the pitbull. She was flown to California by AARF and is receiving rehabilitation at a dog training school. You can follow her progress here.

An anonymous sponsor has paid for all her expenses in CA with the intention of adopting her when she finishes the program. We are very grateful for all the help she has received from the community and hope only the best for this sweet girl!!

    Hello Dolly,……well, hello, Dolly

It’s so nice to have you back where you belong

You’re lookin’ swell, Dolly…….I can tell, Dolly

You’re still glowin’…you’re still crowin’…you’re still goin’ strong

I feel that room swayin’……while the band’s playin’

One of your old favourite songs from way back when

So….. take her wrap, fellas…….find her an empty lap, fellas

    Dolly’ll never go away again

    Hello Dolly,…..well, hello, Dolly

It’s so nice to have you back where you belong

You’re lookin’ swell, Dolly…..I can tell, Dolly

You’re still glowin’…you’re still crowin’…you’re still goin’ strong

I feel the room swayin’…while that ole band keeps on playin’

One of your old favourite songs from way back when

So…golly, gee, fellas….find her an empty knee, fellas

Dolly’ll never go away….I said she’ll never go away

    Dolly’ll never go away again….
