I have some documents on an old disk – it’s actually not so old that it’s actually “floppy” but it is one of those small hard 3″x3″ disks. I no longer have any computers with the proper drive – where can I bring it in WS to get my documents pulled out? Oh, those docs are also probably in WordPerfect. :)

    Thanks!

This is when I wish WS had a Kinkos…library?…if all else fails, I have an external drive you could borrow (has a USB connection).

I can do it. I have several drives and a couple of usb floppy drives too.

Do you still have wordperfect installed?

I think older versions of word will convert it. I don’t have a new version handy to check.

Hi Ken- thanks! No, I don’t have WP anymore. But I do have Word 2000 so that might work! Can we arrange a time to get together?

GenHillOne – thanks for your offer, too!

Word does not usually include the WordPerfect format translator but you can add it in if you still have the installation disk for Office. Just go to control panel, add/remove. Select Office, then revise setup. From there you can select “translators” for various programs. Word did not install the translator for WordPerfect even when 50% of the world was using it.

Ken is a great resource. He has worked on my computer a couple of times. Very easy to work with. Use him if at all possible.
