hammerheadParticipantFYI: the dog will be put to sleep after quarantine.

KBearParticipantI agree that a finger up the butt would probably make most dogs let go. They’d have to, so they could whip around and bite off that finger. I know my dog would. Never use fingers to break up a dog fight.

JoBParticipantkBear..
i wouldn’t actually use my finger…
but a poke in the behind does get a dog’s attention like few other things do…
actually.. a squirt there works nearly as well
which brings me to another suggestion.. a high powered squirt gun…
a squirt in the face often slows dogs down enough to get control of the situation…
of course. you have to be a good shot
but the same is true of all the other products you shoot…

FullTiltParticipantWhat if the dog is equipped with one of these?

KBearParticipantThen it has every reason to bite the hand that put it there.

hammerheadParticipantThat is just WRONG in every way. OMG

JoBParticipanti think the poor pooch wearing one of those would be too busy trying to get it off to bother with you or your dog …
i can’t see mine letting something like that stay longer than 30 seconds

JanSParticipantlol…JoB…yours were the first pups I thought about. No..I’m thinking that they’d be gone in an instant – lol..
and frankly…what does one do with those cute little flowers the first time dog stops to go…please…there is a reason for that exit, and usually that’s why you’re walking the dog in the first place…lolol..

oddrealityParticipantHammerhead, Which dog is going to be put to sleep?
April 9, 2010 at 2:17 pm #692152
hammerheadParticipantthe pit bull that attack a little girl, I got the blogs messed up a bit, but none the less i thought everyone would be happy that dog was being killed.
April 9, 2010 at 7:54 pm #692153
oddrealityParticipantThanks Hammerhead. I am never happy to see a dog killed for the owners stupidity and neglect.I personally love pit bulls. They were the kindest most gentle dogs we ever had bar none. Bad breeding and bad owners have ruined their rep.

JoBParticipantoddreality…
the saddest part of this is that if their purpose in having the dog was to breed.. they are likely to get another:(
