To the owner of the car that struck our dog on 45th Ave:
Thank you for stopping and expressing concern for our dog.
I am so sorry to have put you in that situation.
We took her to the er last night and miraculously she is doing just fine. They were amazed that she was doing so well. All she has to show for it is some road rash on her paw.
I write because I cannot imagine hitting an animal with my car. I am so sorry to have put you in that situation. I am thankful that you were going the speed limit and were driving with caution.
This could have been so much worse.
Again, our family thanks you for your kindness in stopping and checking on us. We’d all give you a masked hug if ever we were to meet you.
