flipjackParticipantThey do add a bit of excitement to the air, but are they really doing anyone any good?
If the bank robber has a dog, do you think it should be leashed or unleashed? After all they are already breaking the law.

AnonymousInactiveflipjack – You make an excellent point.
I think, if the bank robber has his dog on a leash, drives ONLY 5 mph over the posted speed limit and does NOT exclude others from robbing with him, then it is ok that he is robbing the bank.

walfredoMemberGreat Post!
The excitement factor has to make them a positive for the community in general.
I’m a little concerned that they could potentially be dangerous though, at least in the long run?

ZenguyParticipantI loved the robbery last week when they convience store employee whitnessed the dye pack exploding in the car and the blonde wig and black dress. You would think that people would kinda get that robbing a bank now a days is pretty unsucessful…idiots!
Thanks for the laughs.

mellaw6565MemberMy partner just told me about a friend of hers who was a drive-thru teller a few years back when a man drove up to the window with a gun and said he was robbing the bank. The teller said “OK – put your gun in the drawer and I’ll replace it with the money!” Here it comes…… the guy did it and then the teller walked away from the window without giving him money! Hope she got a raise!

flowerpetalMemberQuite possibly she lost her job. Banks have unwavering policies about hold ups and what to do or not. However,I would’ve given her a raise for thinking on her feet. But then again, I’m not writing bank policies.

WSBKeymasterBank robbers must be taking a page from a new playbook of unusualness.
Actually it turned out last week’s robber was NOT in a dress.
But today’s robber was in a fake beard. Detail just added to our ongoing updates:

FranciParticipantUmm, that story about the robber putting the gun in the drive-up drawer has been around awhile. A security guy told me that story 25 years ago when I was a teller at Seafirst.. :)

FullTiltParticipantI know this makes me sound like a hoodlum, but…
When I was a teenager, I always fantasized about robbing a bank. It was more in the vein of old westerns or Ocean 11. The ski mask and waving a gun around just seems like trouble. The ninja outfit and high tech gadgets seem like more fun. Then when I was 19 I got to see the inside of a jail for not paying a traffic ticket. robbing a bank just really didn’t seem worth it.

ZenguyParticipantI always fantasized about robbing an ice cream shop…lol
