CarolPBMemberI had a feeling when it said “growing WS neighborhood”, it wasn’t REALLY West Seattle!

WSBKeymasterThanks for solving the mystery!
Not surprised that The Wall would use “West Seattle” instead of White Center – while searching for event listings online in the past, I have come across live music listings there that erroneously labeled the venue “West Seattle.” Y’know, really, White Center gets cooler all the time, no need to avoid the name (or the area).
I’d just posted yesterday on http://whitecenternow.com that Brewsky’s is listed for sale … so now there’s something more to add.

MargLMemberNow I have the music from Busytown Mysteries going thru my head… “Every-bod-y, solved, a, mystery!”

sacatoshParticipantThe unfortunate thing about the Wall (and its previous incarnations) is the clientele.
Whoever buys it will have to be prepared to be really serious about kicking out the chronic falling-down drunks and meth-heads who patronize the place and hang outside the front door to smoke.
Driving down 16th the other day, there were two immensely drunk men trying to help a buddy to get himself out of the street. The third man was so drunk he couldn’t stay upright and was fighting them, wanting to remain in the middle of the intersection.
It’s a sad corner, and could use an owner much like the current owner of the Triangle, who is committed to cleaning up the joint. It’d go a LONG way in making that block more appealing to other customers. It’s really one of only two blocks left in WC that I won’t walk down alone.

inactiveMemberAgreed Sacatosh – I’ve seen that very same scene a number of times. Middle of the day and night both. Previous owners, from what I heard, regularly overserved at The Wall. It would help a whole lot of the struggling mom and pop stores and the community in general if those people were NOT indulged.
Everyone who cares about WC: cross your fingers that a responsible party purchases them and cleans it up. Or changes the use of the properties.

celeste17ParticipantLets all pool our money and buy it and clean it up. Mike could run it. He seems to have a good knowledge about this kind of business. :)

celeste17ParticipantSo that makes you qualified. You know a great beer and know when someone has had to much. And for Jiggers we could have Ladies Night. Where all the single ladies could come and hang out and he could come and talk to us. See perfect.

FullTiltParticipantThe rumor in the neighborhood is that the new prospective owners of Brewskis wants to turn it into a casino. Yikes.
