IrukandjiParticipantDerek and Penny are the BEST! Thoughtful bagging and always ready to offer any extra help or hands needed. Management seems to lack humor, but most of the regular checkers are pleasant. We stopped going to the coffee shop years ago when they got the automatic espresso machines and lost dark-haired Sara(h). The coffee tasted like it was passed through cigarette filters. Theresa at the coffee shop was always the highlight of going there. We love that raunchy girl!

beachdrivegirlParticipantI love the service i receive @ the met market. I also enjoy how CLEAN they keep the store. I know it is a bit more expensive then Safeway but some days I need that pep that they give me and I am willing to pay for it. :)

JiggersMemberIrukandji..Most people who live in Seattle lack a sense of humor. That’s the downright truth.

JenVMemberI recently got turned on to the Met. It’s like crack. I can’t believe I avoided it for so many years. I don’t think I could afford every day shopping there, but for a treat it’s wonderful.

Knitten_KittenMemberI’ve only been there a few times, but every time I have, the customer service has been AMAZING! I recently went there to get a cheese that I couldn’t find at Safeway, and the person at the counter knew EXACTLY where it was in the massive pile of cheeses. That in itself was impressive, but she was also amazingly friendly, same with the checker. I wish I could afford to shop there more often.

beachdrivegirlParticipantIt is true that it is a treat. Defin. too expensive for every day shopping.

lil moMemberI love Met Market. I work within walking distance, and pick up lunch there frequently. I generally have had good service there, but there is one checker who on several occasions has given me(what I consider)terrible service. I will say that I have incredibly high expectations of service, but no,”hello, how are you, have a good day”-give me a break! I feel that these are the bare minimum expectations, especially at a store where customers are paying a premium price- part of which pays the employees of the store. Maybe I’m just picky, but there’s no way I will ever get in that guy’s line again.

angelescrestParticipantWe’ve had a couple of surly checkers, but the place is a bit of an addiction. Does anyone remember that most wonderfully friendly, British, soccer-loving guy in the butcher shop? Was it Johnny? My kids loved him!
