JayDeeParticipantAre any of our West Seattle Community Groups selling fund-raising wreaths this year? I did not see any at the Farmer’s Market. Any help here?

ErikParticipantI know that PathFinder K-8 is making and selling wreaths. They were set up in front of the bank (SW corner of All-Ways walk in the Junction) this past Sunday.

WSBKeymasterPathfinder will be outside KeyBank (on the California/Alaska corner side, I believe) again this Sunday. They didn’t send us an announcement so I was startled to run into them last Sunday while walking toward the market. They have wreaths starting at $25, all proceeds benefit programs for students, and also smaller sprays/sprigs for $10. We tweeted/Facebooked this after bumping into them but I also need to add it to the holiday guide’s fundraisers/donation drives section.
Many schools had wreath sales earlier in the season … not much help now … but I also believe some of the tree-selling spots have wreaths, like Holy Rosary Tree Lot (WSB sponsor), where 15 percent of the proceeds go to WS Food Bank/WS Helpline/Hickman House domestic-violence shelter.

addParticipantI’ll put in a plug for the Pathfinder wreaths – they are all hand-made from locally gathered greens and other interesting foliage by families, staff, and students. There are some seriously talented wreath-makers in the bunch! All the proceeds support Pathfinders’ outdoor education programs, including camping trips and other adventures. I’ll be buying about 6 of them this weekend! :)

JayDeeParticipantI have bought many a Pathfinder wreaths, but they were not at the western Key Bank steps last weekend. Sure, TJs are cheaper, but just like car washes I would rather support local causes directly (not just 15%). I will buy one this weekend if they are there early (10 AM+).

Pathfinder WreathsMemberHey everyone! I am the Wreath Coordinator at Pathfinder. It’s so great to see this string and hear the supportive remarks about our amazing wreaths. We will be at the farmers Market this weekend. We are in a slightly different location around the front of Key Bank. We moved out of respect for a vendor in the market that is also selling wreaths. Our amazing wreaths funds the outdoor education programs at the school! So please come see us in front of Key Bank on the corner of Alaska and California from 10-2 Sunday Dec 8th and 15th. If for any reason you can’t make it up we are happy to take orders for pick up! This is our 20th year making and selling wreaths so I know a lot of you are repeat supporters. To pre-order or if you have questions please reach out directly to me at hpletshcett@gmail.com Huge thank you to WSB for posting pictures of us selling wreaths last weekend too.
