Can anyone recommend a reliable carrier?

I have AT&T (and their booster) and drop calls standing still in my home and forget about being on the move.

And does anyone have experience with Metro PCS?

    Thanks in advance.

I use Virgin Mobile. They’re also a pay-as-you go thing. They use the Sprint network, and I never have dropped calls. I live behind Admiral Safeway.Rates start at $35/mo for 300 minutes and unlimited texts and data(for $55 a month you get unlimited everything). The one caveat – you pay more for the phones upfront (Radio Shack carries most of them). They have Samsungs, iPhones, and others…

I have Sprint. Service was sketchy in my house at first (2 years ago) but now it’s pretty good.

The rest of my family has Verizon and they get great service.

I use Ting, which runs on the Sprint network, kind of like Virgin. We used Sprint before and ATT; prefer Sprint for coverage, just hate paying their insane prices! With Ting you pay for what you use and no contract or set-up fees. You can usually bring over your current smartphone, or buy one from them. My husband and I pay 50/month for what we use, versus 150 from Sprint…..easy choice. And no, I don’t work for them, just super happy with the company. Only wish they could start something similar for cable TV also!

We are on the east side of Calif and North of Admiral. The only we are able to get Service is with Sprint and there Airave (free with service). Otherwise, nada zip zero zilch service. Before the airave, it was a stand on one leg in that corner slightly tilted but not to much and don’t move kind of thing. :). We have no problems now.

Verizon works well in North Admiral. AT&T constantly dropped for me.

Thanks for all the input. Looking like Sprint will be our choice.

I just have to go rounds with AT&T to get my early cancellation fee waived.

I got a line on a contact from a great lady with a fuzzy Labrodoodle so I’m optimistic.

    I will keep everyone posted.

As an AT&T employee, I am sorry you couldn’t get reliable service. Hope you have better luck with Sprint.

I always tell anyone who asks about coverage to check Root Metrics. They are not associated with any carrier and have pretty accurate info about the AT&T network, so I assume they are on target for the others.
