    Ok..We are into the new year and I’m looking for the best cell phone plan. I’m looking for unlimited texting, more than 700 minutes of talk time, send and receive free pics from friends, free weekend minutes, add free talk time after 7pm. I’m on a family plan with Sprint right now and have a fairly close plan to the one I’m looking for, but looking to bail unless they can offer me a deal to stay on. Anyone seen something good out there?

    I’m looking for the same thing! Reception stats would be good to know too! The maps on there websites don’t mean squat to me. I’m right on the edge of good and bad service….. Sprint is bad in North Admiral.

    I think Sprint may be the only carrier that starts free evening time after 7pm. I’m with Verizon and I know it starts at 9pm, as does TMobile. So if that’s a dealbreaker for you, you might have to stay with Sprint for that.

    Verizon Wireless currently has a Talk & Text Plan. For the 900 minute plan (the next plan up from 450) it’s $79.99/mo for 900 minutes, free nights (after 9pm) and free weekends, free calls anytime to other VZW customers, unlimited texts (including video & picture), and you can also choose 5 “friends & family” who are unlimited all the time, even if not on VZW service. (This is an individual plan, BTW, not family, and does not include any internet.)

    sprint starts free minutes only after 9 as well and the fees are exorbitant. Also had deceptive sales methods. Terrible. I left that plan (and yes, I most certainly complained to the business before posting!).

    @Jiggers, long time no chat.

    I’m a District Manager for Sprint. If you want to contact me, you can find me on Twitter (@WSTheHouse). I’ll DM you my e-mail on there.

    @Lucky Chick, I don’t know why you’d state that we have “deceptive sales methods”, but I’d be glad to hear more if you contact me.

    You’ll find Sprint to pretty darn hard to beat from a pricing standpoint and we’ve got solid coverage all around Western WA.

    I don’t “Tweet,” and to be honest, I’m not inclined to waste more time than I have already on Sprint, but in short, they removed the tiered program without telling me and I ended up with $100 bills; their response to my queries was often a rediculous email: “we see that your problem has been resolved” (!!); and I was far too often the only person in a room (in a pretty large town) getting charged roaming fees. Like I said, awful experience with Sprint, much happier with the less expensive, better-service Comcast.

    @TheHouse I’ll give you guys the good prices. BUT the solid coverage must apply to everyone in Westerm WA except the East side of California Ave in North Admiral. Sorry! But if it was so solid, why do we have to pay an EXTRA $4.99/mo for the airwave to be able to have service in our house? In the Avalon area, we’re roaming (we don’t get charged for roaming) on the Verizon network….. Power goes out or Comcast is having issues I have no service. None. Zip. Zilch. That is my biggest beef with Sprint. Smaller beef would be the customer service sales overkill! I have hung up on them because they just keep trying to push more and different services on me when I just wanted to change my plan and sync a new cell phone……. not cool.

    Came across this article on comparing possible verison iPhone plan and AT&T iPhone plan. Might be helpful? Do plans differ by phone?http://www.macworld.com/article/157071/2011/01/compare_verizon_att_plans.html
