my little car is buried til snow passes, just slips/slides in itsy bitsy snow; forecast for Tuesday afternoon/eve is heavy snow, and Jan needs ride to and from dialysis center on Delridge, close to WS bridge; others who also require life supporting dialysis may need rides to and from there too; Jan lives in Admiral, across from the new Safeway; she usually has to rely on Access van for transportation, which is iffy even in good weather; anyone?

Thanks, Diane…and Patrick…and Funkytoo. I will definitely keep that in mind. I’ll be talking to Access Van on Tuesday AM, and we’ll be closer to that evening’s weather then, too.

If you could post the dates and times maybe one of us could do a there and one do a ride home. Also reminders about no sick or people with colds:)

very good point cclarue; healthy/non-contagious drivers needed for immune compromised dialysis patients; thanks

if the weather forecast is correct, the most urgent need may be to pickup at the dialysis center on Delridge around 11pm and drive up hill to Admiral; would be nice to have a few contacts to call if needed

cc…I do dialysis three times a week, and Tuesday evening is the next one. That’s the one I’m worried about. Access Van driver assured me on Saturday that they go in the snow, but I’m a cynic. By Thursday, it’s supposed to rain, but promises, promises of a warming trend are not convincing until it happens – lol. So, yes, if I have some contacts that might be able to provide a lift at a moments notice, so to speak, on Tuesday evening after dialysis, it would be appreciated. I have a couple now, but…backup plans are always nice to have :)

Dialysis center is at 4045 Delridge, back of the DSHS building next to the big flag building. I live behind Admiral Safeway on 42nd SW. It’s not a long trip, just an uphill trip :)

well, Access Van is getting me there…right now, streets are clear, as it’s been 38 degrees , and even some sun at times. Who knows what will happen at 10:30pm. Access Van is scheduled on a regular basis in advance, so I take them first. I have phone numbers of some people in case the weather goes belly up during the evening..

The Access Van was the first car down my hilly Ave on Monday. The van was chained up. The main action should be after midnight…so I’d worry about other things.

Glad you were able to get there/back, Jan, despite Access. Hoping the storms don’t complicate things by Thursday for you.

ok…this is for westcoastdeb or TDe…or anyone else who wants to help. I need a ride home from the dialysis center at 4045 Delridge Way ( DSHS bldg., right next to the big flag bldg.) this evening at 10:15pm. Access Van is very, very iffy, so just figured I’d try to find something in advance. You can e-mail me at mmfeelgood at gmail.com, or call me at 206-937-8652
