JanSParticipantTodd…are you trying to find a way to avoid going on 35th SW?

ErikParticipantTodd – From Westwood you can follow Roxbury down to Southpark and walk your bike over the 16th/14th? Ave. bridge. Or from near the bottom of Roxbury (or whatever the name of that street is as it approaches SP), right before it crosses the Burien freeway, take a left and pedal north approx. a mile to the 1st ave. bridge. I think there is an actual ped/bike ramp onto that bridge on the east side.

vincentMemberFrom westwood? you have a couple of routes.
Fastest: East to 9th via trenton.. follow N on 9th till it becomes Highland park Way. At intersection of Highland Park and W Marginal hook up with the bike trail on the N side of SW Michigan street about 300 yards further bike trail splits into a bridge path under the 99 bridge. Congrats, your in Georgetown.
Optional:
E on trenton to delridge, N on delridge to chelan street ( under bridge ) join bike path heading toward bridge, turn right on “interurban trail” follow west marginal to trail on E side of road till it hooks up with bridge mentioned above. Enter georgetown.
I recommend against crossing the lower west Seattle bridge and going via sodo to airport way. unless your meeting someone from downtown, you can get totally hosed by Train traffic.

ToddinWestwoodMemberthanks. I mainly wanted to know how to cross the first ave bridge. I have seen paople walking across it, but never knew where the ped entrance was.
The other thing is, trying to cross Cloverdale is NOT fun in the am or evening, so Boeing Hill looks better.
Thnx
