Are you a recent beauty school graduate with 6 months to 1 year of experience looking for employment in a growing, highly-rated salon? If you are, then CoCo & Company Hair Salon is the place for you. After opening up a new retail location in West Seattle just last November, business is booming and we need your help! Don’t be fooled by CoCo & Co’s neighborhood location, we’re very much a high-fashion salon. Master Stylist Antonio recently styled hair and makeup for the cover of Seattle Bride Magazine, a commercial for the Android game developer WildTangent and the salon regularly participates in photoshoots, (like the upcoming Kelsea Echo jewelry launch), dozens of weddings and just recently, CoCo & Co. was invited to the G5 Global Glamor Party at the Columbia Tower Club for hair and makeup services for all the guests. The salon also donates services to various charitable organizations. Just last May, the salon closed for two days to donate services to Virginia Mason for their Portraits of Cancer Survivors photoshoot hosted by SMUG at the Baroness Hotel.

Estimated Start Date: November 1st – 30th, 2012

Job Facts:

• Hourly pay initially with opportunity for service commission

• Earn 10% product commission from day 1

• Earn tips on services you perform (typically 10-20% of service price)

• Existing clientele is not required, but request guests are welcome

• Learn new techniques and skills by assisting experienced stylists

• Frequent in-salon and continuing education

Other Associate Stylist Duties (beyond cosmetology services):

• Participate in team events and training

• Cleaning and minor salon maintenance

• Out of salon marketing activities

• Community service events

• Other duties as assigned

Basic Requirements:

• 6 months-2 years stylist experience

• Excellent shampoo and blowout skills

• Career-focused

• Regular weekend availability

• Client-focused with a dedication to customer service

• Desire to learn and perfect your skills

• Upbeat and positive attitude

• Friendly and fashion forward

• Current Washington State Cosmetology License

• Legal to be employed in Washington State

Preferred Candidates possess one or more of the following skills/abilities:

• Professional makeup experience

• Familiarity with iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch)

• Familiarity with the Mac (OSX) Operation System

• Experience making espresso beverages

• Photoshoot styling experience

• Bridal styling experience

• French cutting technique
