I’m looking for an old-school, 1980s-style aerobics class in WS, with sweat, fun dance moves and (a gal can dream) even New Wave or 80s/90s music, played pretty loud. Does anyone know where I might be able to find this? I noticed that the Y offers “Freestyle Aerobics” with “Eric” on Monday nights, and “Aerobic Dance” on Saturday mornings. Has anyone taken those classes?

The under-new-ownership WS Health Club has a few offerings on its group schedule that might fit the bill, but class information has been scarce from them. Can folks recommend any classes at that club that might fit my ideal?

Also open to classes like this at other spots around WS, Burien, even elsewhere in Seattle if there are particular instructors and/or places you’d recommend?

    Thanks everyone!

I haven’t but I would be picking up our daughter while they were doing it. It looked fun. Wanted to try it but just haven’t made it.

Evening Magazine did a story not too long ago on an 80s punk theme exercise class down at Alki that looked pretty fun. Unfortunately too out of the way for me.
