I’m looking for great after school care that could include my 4 year old too. Does anyone have information about the new afterschool care at Alki Congregational?

Alki Kid’s Place is a new after school activities program sponsored by Alki Congregational, 6115 SW Hinds Street. We are a non-religious program providing care for children ages 4 – 14, Monday through Friday, 2:30 – 6:30 pm. Activities include arts and crafts, games, movies, music, exercise along with quiet time for reading, relaxing, homework and tutoring. We offer a daily rate of $15 or $70 per week. Openings are now available. Call 938-0145 for more information or to register.

I had my 4 year old daughter enrolled in the Alki Kid’s Place program at Alki UCC (led by Cheryl Snyder)for two weeks this past summer and I now have her in the after school program one day a week. The space is clean and inviting with many activities for all ages (4-14). I know my daughter is safe and in a place where she is truly cared for. It seems the word is still getting out about this great new program. Come check it out for yourself or spread the word to anyone you know in need of after school care.

My 7 year old son is enrolled in Alki Kid’s Place also. Cheryl is awesome! Very warm and open. My son always wants to stay later when I come to pick him up, that’s a great sign. Cheryl has assistants to help watch and interact with the kids, it is very safe and happy facility. They do crafts, games, snacks, help with homework, and there are LARGE, multiple, well-stocked playrooms. They play at the playground, watch movies, and just have a fun time unwinding and playing until I can get him. The care is extremely affordable at only $70/week. You can’t beat that.

The best part is, THEY HAVE OPENINGS and no waiting list!! It’s 2 blocks away from Alki Elementary, located on 61st & Hinds. Good luck to you!
