Administrative Assistant & Sales Associate for Nurturing Expressions

Nurturing Expressions has an immediate opening for a full-time Administrative Assistant and Sales Associate who is able to perform day-to-day sales and administrative tasks in our West Seattle specialty boutique and support center. A successful candidate must be enthusiastic, organized, have strong attention to detail, be interested in the women’s healthcare field, and show sensitivity and discretion when engaging with clients.
Specific responsibilities and tasks include (but are not limited to) the following:
• Provide excellent customer service to clients, vendors, providers, and business partners
• Complete daily store and administrative tasks, including phone duties, filing, data and payment entry, and store opening/closing responsibilities
• Maintain knowledge of insurance carriers and specific coverage guidelines and requirements
• Adhere to strict patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliancy
• Maintain knowledge of all product, equipment, and services offered, including breast pumps, compression garments, nursing bras and accessories, mastectomy supplies, and more
• Assist management with visual merchandising
• Successfully complete client sales, refunds, and exchanges
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum one year of retail experience with proven customer service, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
• Clean driving record and able to pass a background check
• Able to bend, lift, or move items from both low and high shelves, pull/push up to 50 lbs., and be on your feet for extended periods of time
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Superior organizational skills
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in a professional medical office and the healthcare field, with an interest in family health and wellness
• Working experience with QuickBooks, inventory management, and point-of-sale systems
• Experience with compression garment, mastectomy, and bra fitting
• Bilingual

ABOUT US
Nurturing Expressions was founded in 2004 by Tracy Corey, a Registered Nurse and Board Certified Lactation Consultant. The company started as a mobile service, bringing breast pumps and lactation services directly to moms in their homes or hospital rooms. Today, we have grown to include a full-time retail store and administrative office in West Seattle, as well as an expanded mobile service offering daily visits to most of the major hospitals in the Puget Sound area.
