We only got one text and the call was already closed on the 911 log – it was only a “motor vehicle incident” callout in the first place (one engine, meaning no serious injuries), unlike the one in the Junction, which was a “med 6” callout (three SFD crews) and resulted in a two-hour road closure. Whether we go to MVIs, which happen multiple times a day (unfortunately), depends on whether we get texts/calls telling us there’s a major backup. Sometimes we are able to break away and go anyway … this week we’ve already been to three reported crashes that were absolutely clear within 15 minutes. – TR
