Yea. I’ve seen the investments you’ve made… you have cited them. So much for heavy lifting. Unions… like the Chicago Teachers Union… there’s a champion cause. Unions have the rights to free association and collective bargaining…. now, they have to be relevant and deliver… and not kill the host body they feed off. I love em’… nothing makes it easier to enter a market than to compete with a unionized work force. But unions are private parties entering into private contracts… and the US Government has no place in bailing them out or showing preferential treatment. Look, the unions are gone. They have long been off the scene. They are marginal economic entities and can only survive on political patronage. They have no economic standing. Unless they are treated as a favored class. Thank god for Citizens United… now.. let’s see how the voting public reacts to the CTA… again… and again, over and over… they want no accountability, no standards, and in these times asking for that kind of money? The highest paid teachers in the country with some of the worst academic achievement in the nation? Someone is getting screwed… can you spell s-t-u-d-e-n-t-s-? Yes John.. your pension funds ARE getting destroyed.. it’s called inflation. It’s what governments do when they spend sooooooo much money and run such hugh deficits… they print money and devalue currencies. You are catching on.
