What a rescue could provide is to list the cat on their pet finder page. It is a much better option than craig;s list.(GOD PLEASE DON”T DO THAT) Some are happy to do this, so it doesn’t have to come into their rescue. You will be completely responsible for screening.
Please note so many cats and dogs are in desperate need of homes. As long as you can provide the “foster” home it needs.
Well welcome to the crappy world of rescue. It is not easy, bumping won’t help either. As you stated above all rescues have cats also in need of homes.
I do know Humane society has a good month waiting list at least. All other “no kills” turns adults away.
People want kittens which will be discarded after they are not so cute any more.
Sorry to be the bummer in this but this is the reality of rescue. It is not easy but again welcome to the world of rescue.
So what is your back up plan?
