I also live on lower Genessee hill on 56th and lost Qwest service and my Covad DSL which runs through Qwest lines (though a separate line to the pole). At 6:20 this AM the Qwest trucks were checking out my local pole and presumably fixing something and going south to the next pole. I too got the unbelievable robot recording saying service would be out until 5/24. I am hopeful that the presence of the Qwest trucks means progress is happening.
