It’s just so disheartening, charla.
Here Obama is, an honorable man, even a touch noble and more than a little statesman-like. He’s touched millions of people who had given up on the political process–and done so in ways that people haven’t been touched since RFK and JFK.
He struggles to promote hope and unity and to rise above the political dirtiness, while Hillary and the bigots and the Angry Republican White Guys and Rev. Wright and god-knows-who-else reach up and pull him down.
And McCain, Angry Republican White Guy Who Pretends He’s Not Really Like That And Millions of People Believe Him, gets a free pass in the media, with the Independents, with the swing voters…
Un-frickin’-believable.
