My husband and I also fell victim to this new $100.00 charge last month. My husband does not have a primary care physician and is rarely ever sick. When he does get sick, we commonly would go to the highline walk in clinic. We went there last month and were surprised to find out they had changed to urgent care. We also were asked to sign the form acknowledging we would be charged $100.00. We signed because we were already there and my husband was sick. We have always been happy going to the highline walk in but with this new $100.00 charge on top of what is billed to our insurance; We also will be looking for a new walk in clinic. It is crazy that you have insurance and still you are billed this extra charge.
