I’m not entirely sure of the reason but I’ve also seen it where the non-HD feed is a few seconds ahead of the HD feed of the same sports event.
Some of that could be explainable due to higher levels of compression/decompression requirements.
It also may be the case that Comcast does its own “7 second delay” to edit live programs in case of stuff that could violate FCC purity laws. No exposed nipples or F-bombs, doncha know?
Maybe the Hawaii carrier doesn’t mind that stuff…???
