Hi, Tewl. “Race card”? First time we’ve been accused of that. We’re actually pretty rabid about keeping racism (and sexism, sexual orientation bias, sizism, and other forms of bias/discrimination) off this site, as our commenters are quite aware, unlike many media sites that just look the other way. Doesn’t mean we’re perfect, though, so if that is how my comment was construed, I apologize. It took a fair amount of research to discover what the White Center sighting sent to us turned out to be – the people who sent it along had no idea and thought it might have been a crime or a case of animal cruelty, and I had no idea either, until a whole lot of searching brought up what Ken mentioned. I mentioned it here for potential context, not out of assumption.

Meantime, since the OP hasn’t come back, I’m checking on the report. There is a notation on the 911 incident map of an “animal complaint/injured, dead, dangerous” in the 5900 block of Beach Drive from early this morning. I have a request out to the precinct to ask if that’s what that was, what did officers find, and did they turn it over to Seattle Animal Shelter, in which case I will then move on to see if they are investigating.
