On behalf of Evergreen Tang Soo Do Academy, I would like to invite you to a fundraiser we are having on November 11th, 2017.
Every year, Evergreen Tang Soo Do Academy hosts a martial arts tournament and donates proceeds to a charity. In years past we have donated to Susan G Komen foundation for breast cancer research. Evergreen Tang Soo Do is a member of the World Tang Soo Do Association, which has over 150,000 members in 38 countries worldwide. Our organization has several schools in Puerto Rico with 100s of students and families. I am personal friends with many of the instructors there. Many of these students and instructors in Puerto Rico lost their homes and studios. We are dedicating our tournament this year to helping them by donating 100% of the proceeds directly to them. The event details are below. Any exposure/support you can provide would be greatly appreciated. There is a $5 charge at the door for spectators to come and watch the competitions.

Each year a different school offering a Chinese program hosts Confucius Institute Day. It is Pathfinder’s turn this year. Our theme is learning about Chinese culture through sports and leisure.
We will start at 1:00 with a celebration of our Confucius classroom and a few kind words from our principal. The day will also feature performances by the Dearborn Park student lion dance team and various martial arts demonstrations. Following these presentations, families will be invited to participate in activities at various stations, including Chinese jump rope, Tai Chi, and more. As families move through the stations, they will earn stamps on their passports and Chinese coins!
We will also have a drawings for fun activity books provided by Beijing University Press.
A lunch of rice, noodles, and spicy chicken will be served from 2:30 to 3:30. We hope to see you all there.
