King County Democrats 2020 Kick-off Party @ Duwamish Longhouse and Cultural Center
Jan 18 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

You are warmly invited to the King County Democrats 2020 Kick-off Party on Saturday, January 18 from 6:00-9:00 pm! This community building and fundraising event will be held at the Duwamish Longhouse and Cultural Center (4705 W Marginal Way SW, Seattle, WA 98106).

As members of King County Democrats, you know just how critical the year ahead will be – for our county, country, and future. We hope you’ll join us for an inspiring night to meet your neighbors, hear from local leaders, and strategize a game-changing year ahead. This event also kicks off our Presidential primary organizing activities.

Did you know that PCO engagement leads to a 5-point increase in voter turnout? And that we’ve got 1,000 vacant PCO positions across King County? The increased turnout had those been filled would have passed I-1000 with 20,000 votes to spare. One of our top priorities in 2020 will be to recruit and train PCOs to make sure we’ve got the votes needed come November…and beyond. Our kick-off party is your chance to invest in our shared vision for a more equitable, just, and inclusive world.

In honor of our county’s namesake, this event is a perfect way to kick off MLK Day Weekend and ring in the New Year. Friends, family, and children are welcome. Click here to purchase your tickets today (3 ticket levels available) with Early Bird Discount ending December 30th.

‘Reject the Coverup’ rally
Feb 5 @ 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm

“Reject The Cover-Up”
Rally Planned at Alaska Junction Wednesday Evening to Protest GOP’s Sham Impeachment Trial

Wednesday, February 5, at 5:30 PM, the night that Senate Republicans are expected to “acquit” Donald Trump after they blocked key witnesses with incriminating evidence from testifying, protestors will gather at Alaska Junction as part of the nationwide “Reject The Cover-Up” rallies.

The event is part of a nationwide effort to hold Donald Trump and Republican lawmakers accountable for betraying the American people and the Constitution Protestors will send a clear message to Trump and to GOP senators: Any “acquittal” made after blocking key evidence is not an exoneration—it’s a cover-up.

Dozens of events are being planned across the country by a large coalition of groups, including Common Cause, Indivisible, Greenpeace, NextGen America, Public Citizen, Sierra Club, Stand Up America, Women’s March, and numerous others.

Seattle is holding a much larger event downtown. A full list of events can be found here.
