Let’s Grow Together: Gardens And Summer Stories @ Online (see listing)

Join us on the 4th Saturday of every month via Zoom for programs like Yoga, cooking, crafts, sports, and other hands on fun for children of all ages and abilities. Registration required. Click here to register on Zoom.

Join The Seattle Public Library, The Arc of King County, and Northwest Center as we plant some seeds, share some stories, and explore a local community garden!

Children of all ages and abilities are invited to attend. For some programs, supply kits will be mailed out to participants who register before the mailing deadline.

Supplies needed: acrylic paints, 1″ flat brush, 1″ angled flat brush, filbert brush, pointed round brush, fan brush, mixed media paper if available, painters or masking tape, cotton swabs, pallet knife or butter knife.

Virtual Writers Read @ Online (see listing)

Join us for a monthly reading series featuring an open mic and selected author readings from local writers. Registration is required. Click here to register on our partner’s website.

Local writers will read from their diverse repertoires of poetry, short stories, novels and essays. The event will end with a Q&A session, followed by an open mic session.

This program is presented in partnership with African-American Writers’ Alliance on the second Sunday of the month.

West Seattle High School Class of 1971 50th Reunion @ Glen Acres Golf and Country Club
Jul 17 all-day

West Seattle High School’s Class of 1971 will be holding its 50th reunion on July 17th at the Glen Acres Golf and Country club, starting at 4 pm. There will be appetizers provided with a no-host bar. There is no charge for WSHS ’71 alumni and their guest, and tickets are not required, but it would help immensely to know how many to plan for. Please RSVP to jimbiava@protonmail.com and include if you will be bringing a guest.

Golf is also available before the event, starting at 1 pm. If interested, contact Randy Sleight at randy@s18.com.
