Join us for an hour of sharing our stories with a tuneful lilt. Some stories are so great that they have to be sung. These “story songs” may inspire us, take us on adventures, celebrate a moment or share something silly and unlikely.

This workshop has been designed and will be facilitated for individuals living with memory loss and their care partners. We welcome other family members and friends of all ages to join us.

Supplies needed: rhythm shakers, maracas, or a bag of beans to make noise.

Cultivating Health @ Online (see listing)

Join Dr. Salene Jones, PhD, MA, LP, a Seattle-based psychologist, in a workshop that will help people identify steps they can take to live healthier.

We will also cover strategies for living a healthier life informed by the science of behavior change.

About the classes
The job skills, life skills, & digital creativity classes are made possible by support from The Seattle Public Library Foundation, and in partnership with South Seattle College. This workshop is free and everyone is welcome. Library events and programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is required. Learn dances featured in films from India – the largest moviemaking capital in the world. Bollywood is the Hindi-language sector of the Indian moviemaking industry. Traditional Bollywood dancing has been heavily influenced by Asian culture, Hindu art, music, and culture. Today Bollywood music and dancing are also influenced by other cultures and forms of dance including salsa and hip-hop. Join us for a fun class where we’ll dance to Bollywood hit songs from different eras and learn about the inspiration behind the songs.
