Chef in the Garden: Benefit for P-Patches @ Center for Urban Horticulture

Step out and enjoy in an evening of fine dining and great fun in support of P-Patches, urban gardening opportunities and maintaining livable cities. The Chef in the Garden dinner is the primary fund-raising event for GROW, the non-profit organization that provides essential support for Seattle’s 90 P-Patches.

The lush and lovely Center for Urban Horticulture will be the setting for this year’s elegant dinner and silent auction. Chef Kaspar Donier will again produce an innovative array of dishes featuring local produce and other foods, complemented by fine wines. Guests will be able to enjoy the Center’s beautifully designed grounds while sampling hors d’oeuvres and wine during the social hour, which will begin at 6:30.

‘Beach Party’ Elvis Tribute fundraiser dinner, with Bret Wiggins @ Senior Center of West Seattle

ELvis will be in the building! Join us Saturday, July 27, as West Seattleite Bret Wiggins brings his Beach Party themed Elvis tribute to the Senior Center of West Seattle. Bret will be performing songs from movies such as Blue Hawaii, Fun in Acapulco, Clambake, and Girls, Girls, Girls. His second set will include songs from Elvis’s Aloha from Hawaii album.

5:30 pm – Doors open, Happy Hour (no host bar all evening) and photos with Elvis by Gail Wodzin, of Gail Ann Photography
6:00 pm – Dinner featuring Kahlua pork; island style rice favored with sausage, egg, and green onion; coleslaw with pineapple; and watermelon
6:30 pm – Show begins!
