Mobile blood drive @ Admiral Safeway on California

BloodworkNW’s Bloodmobile will be parked in front of the Admiral Safeway in West Seattle (on California Ave SW) from 1–7 pm (closed for a break 3–4 pm). Blood drives are open to the public.

Do you enjoy sketching, creative writing, or exploring your creativity? Maybe you’ve never done it and would like to try? Please join local artist Alexis LaFlamme in a relaxed and supportive setting to play with words, colors and shapes by creating your own Art Journal. Each month will have a different focus, and mediums may vary from pen/ink to acrylic paints, to linocut tools or collaging supplies. **Bring: a “mixed media” art journal that is at least 8″ x 10″ and all other supplies and guidance will be provided.** NO ART EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY For any questions, contact Alexis at: alaflamme.art@gmail.com

At the Delridge Library: Explore how to get the most out of your camera while on the road, from trip preparation to going beyond simply point and shoot.ties and ideas for getting your kids kindergarten-ready!

Discuss creative settings, working with the best light, photographic themes, and how to design truly evocative, memorable images. For all skill levels and digital cameras.

Library events and programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required.

Space is limited at library events. Please come early to make sure you get a seat. Due to the fire code, we can’t exceed the maximum capacity for our rooms.
