What: More than just Trees: Native Tree Ecology and Identification Program
When: 11am-1pm, Saturday June 22nd. (After-program outdoor tree identification session 1:15pm)

Curious to know more about lowland forests? Join the Duwamish Longhouse and Seattle Parks and Recreation for a free informational program and field identification of prominent lowland tree species with SPR Naturalist Jacob de Guzman.
9 am-5 pm, gardens all around West Seattle – you need to buy a ticket book to get the map and to be admitted to the gardens. The tour raises money for nonprofit beneficiaries. Ticket info here. More info to come.
What: Retirement Celebration for Lorrie Cook of Little Pilgrim School.

For the many members of the community that she has touched, help us in celebrating Lorrie’s 30 years at Little Pilgrim School. We will congratulate her on this next step with refreshments, and a dedication of a new bench in in front of the school to honor her long-standing legacy of bringing people together.

The Landscape Horticulture Program now offers Landscape Horticulture students an opportunity to increase their plant knowledge while gaining retail experience. The Plant sales will market the plant material students have selected, propagated, grown on and presented for sale. We will have unusual perennials, broadleaf and deciduous shrubs, some small trees, natives and house plants.
(Credit Cards are accepted)
Proceeds from plant sales benefit the Landscape Horticulture Program at South Seattle College.
